Big, beautiful Lac Bernard has been one of the premier recreational lakes north of Ottawa/Gatineau for generations. Almost 5km wide and up to 2km long north to south, this big lake has a bit of EVERYTHING! Every kind of shoreline imaginable, large bays, many small and medium-sized islands, huge peninsulas, and in places this lake is over 69 feet deep. So close to the city, only 35 minutes from the southern part of the lake to Ottawa-Gatineau and roughly 45 minutes to the north. A boater’s paradise, with views of big, open water from many vantage points on the lake.
