Known for its remote feel and incredible variety of shoreline, Lac Saint-Germain is one of the more exclusive lakes within under an hour of the city. Located both in the municipalities of Val-des-Monts in the south and Denholm in the north, this large lake has some of the longest channels to remote back bays in the region. The southern portion of the lake is controlled by gate access only and has no public access. The eastern portion of Lac Saint-Germain is particularly known for its deep-rocky shores, and it’s up to 166ft deep in many places, making it one of the deepest lakes in the region. Given its unusual shape and its 4km length north-south, this lake has one of the longest shorelines of any in the area.
