- Waterfront properties on the Gatineau River near the village of Wakefield are a rare find - when a new listing comes on the market, they tend to sell quickly and at a premium. Lakefront properties within the municipality of La Pêche, a little farther away from the village, are more common and often sell at a more reasonable price
- Properties in the Sourthern part of the community also usually sell at higher price than those further north.
- Don't forget: La Pêche is a wide area that extends as far west as Wolf Lake and as far north as Low; Wakefield is the principal village closest to Ottawa-Gatineau. As you travel north, east or west of Wakefield, you'll see that the area becomes a mixture of residential and agricultural properties - and that house prices are lower.
